BRICIT countries which include Brazil, Russia, India, China and Turkey are very important in the growth strategy of our company, which has created five* of the eight consumer products categories it competes throughout its 137-year history (toilet paper in 1890, paper towel in 1907, feminine pads in 1920, tissue “Kleenex” in 1924, and the diaper “Drynites” in 1989). With over 53 thousand employees, operations at 37 countries and sales network in 150 countries, Kimberly-Clark posted net sales of nearly $ 19.1 billion in 2009. Preferred by 1.3 billion people daily, its products include brands which lead their segments such as Huggies, Kotex, and Depend in Turkey, and additionally Kleenex and Scott in the world.

We entered the Turkish as Kimberly-Clark in 2005. Thanks to our operations in line with the needs and expectations of Turkish consumers and our global experience, knowledge and innovative ideas which simplify life, we have increased the market share of the Huggies and Kotex brands to over 10%, and reached the number two position in national chain stores since 2005, We intend to continue our growth in 2010 also with our innovative products in addition to innovative marketing initiatives.

With a significant place in the world in terms of integrating with the society, value creation and HR applications, our company has set its sight on implementing successful projects which will add value to and create a difference in the lives of consumers and contribute to the society through its operations in Turkey also. We have so far planted nearly 10 thousand trees with the “7 tree” campaign we have conducted with Çekül Foundation since 2006.
